Chef de Cuisine — With Others, Williamsburg With Others is a neighborhood wine bar on Bedford Ave in South Williamsburg. High volume, natural wine focused, regular events and collaborations, loyal crowd. We're hiring a Chef de Cuisine to build our permanent in-house food program.
We've been running rotating guest chefs since we opened. It's worked, but it's time to have our own menu and kitchen identity. We want someone to come in, develop a tight seasonal menu — 8 to 10 items, shareable, wine-friendly, not fussy — and own it.
You'll build the systems, hire and manage the team, and have real say over direction. Pop-ups and collabs will still happen periodically, but the house menu is the priority and this role leads it. WHAT YOU'LL OWN Menu development — seasonal, 8–10 items, updated regularly.
You set the direction and execute it. BOH operations and systems — ordering, inventory, pars, vendor relationships, DOH compliance. Staff hiring, training, and scheduling — build a small, consistent kitchen team.
Food cost and labor management — own the numbers Event and collab support — private events, regional wine-focused dinners, periodic guest chef coordination. WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR A chef who has grown into leadership, or is ready to. You have a point of view, you can run a lean kitchen, and you're interested in the kind of food that fits a wine bar doing real volume on the weekends NYC kitchen leadership experience required (CDC or strong sous chef level) Comfortable with food cost, ordering, training and scheduling Genuine interest in seasonality, plating, and all the details NYC Food Handler's License (or willingness to obtain before start) Collaborative team spirit — works closely with ownership and GM COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE Salary: $80,000 to $90,000 DOE Full time, salaried Tuesday–Saturday, two consecutive days off PTO, wine education, and dining benefits TO APPLY Send a short note about yourself, your resume, and any menus or past work you're proud of to (email).
