Job Description
Aviation Charter Sales Specialist This position is unique. It combines the specialized knowledge of the aviation field with the nuances of charter sales. The charter sales and flight operations support team is the first contact many clients will have with our company. We expect you to deliver exceptional customer service to all of our clients and aircraft owners from the first point of contact. The right person will be motivated and know how to learn. You will work with elite and demanding clients in a fast-paced yet extremely detail-focused environment. In our business and with our clients, we care about every detail, and every detail must be right. Responsibilities include applying aircraft performance and direct operating cost to the quoting process, applying world-wide regulations to the quoting process, providing accurate quotes as requested, providing expertise when adjusting pricing and discounting rates, sourcing off-fleet options for direct clients when a preferred aircraft in fleet is not available, maintaining strong relationships with the existing client base, monitoring competition, economic indicators, and industry trends to provide competitive quotes and win trips, working cross functionally with flight operations support, maintaining the elite level of service our clients expect from us, representing the Cirrus brand with the highest degree of professionalism, scheduling and planning domestic and international flights in accordance with FAA regulations, world-wide regulations, company process and procedures, and performance restrictions, ensuring efficient aircraft and crew utilization to achieve the highest profit margin on each flight, continually monitoring weather/NOTAMS/ATC for any impact to the flight operation, collaborating with maintenance, crew scheduling, and flight operations on any issues that might impact the operation, pre-flight briefing with PIC and all crew notifications as they pertain to the operation, making tactical changes as needed to mitigate client impact from delays due to weather, ATC, or maintenance issues, flight following irregular operations, assigning daily crew duty, and being the first point of contact in the event of an accident or incident involving Cirrus aircraft. Requirements include a bachelor's degree required or equivalent aviation certifications, an aircraft dispatcher's license preferred but not required, a minimum of 1 year experience in Part 135 or Part 121 Flight Operations, the ability to pass a 20 year TSA/DHS background check, a valid driver's license, a thorough understanding of the Part 135 environment and the ability to comfortably navigate within, a thorough understanding of world-wide regulations as they apply to Part 91/Part 135 charter, confidence and comfort speaking with external and internal clients, the ability to work efficiently and make solid decisions working in high pressure conditions, a thorough understanding of FARs and company approved manuals, a thorough understanding of ATC, Weather, NOTAMS, and flight planning, the ability to prioritize workload, the ability to communicate clearly and articulately via phone, email, text, or in person, the ability to maintain the highest level of discretion and confidentiality regarding our clients and Cirrus business, and advanced negotiation and decision-making skills.
The job requires a significant amount of time on the telephone in front of the computer and the ability and willingness to work after-hours, on weekends and holidays to accommodate international time zones and project/owner demands as needed. This is an in-office position and not remote.
