MSL is a leading provider of specialist insurance products and services across motor, taxi and learner driver markets. We’re growing, and we’re looking for a Business Development Manager to develop key relationships, win new opportunities and drive sustainable growth, underpinned by strong FCA/Consumer Duty standards. What you’ll do Build, manage and grow relationships with brokers/partners to deliver new business Identify and convert new opportunities across existing and emerging markets Lead commercial negotiations and support the implementation of new partner agreements (with Legal, Underwriting and Compliance) Use MI and Salesforce to manage pipeline, track performance and improve decision-making Bring market insight, competitor intel and partner feedback to support product/proposition development Represent MSL at broker meetings, events and conferences Ensure distribution activity aligns with target markets, fair value and good customer outcomes What we’re looking for Proven track record in business development within insurance and/or motor claims Strong knowledge of broker distribution Confident working to FCA regulation and Consumer Duty expectations Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills Commercially minded: understands profitability, not just volume Strong communication skills and a structured approach to reporting/KPIs Experience in motor/taxi/learner or niche markets is a bonus (not essential) Why this role?
