Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Backend Developer (WordPress) role based in New Delhi.

The Backend Developer will build, maintain, and optimize WordPress-based websites and web applications, including developing custom themes and plugins and integrating third-party APIs. The role involves collaborating with designers and front-end developers to translate requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing backend solutions. Daily tasks include writing clean, reusable code, troubleshooting and resolving bugs, optimizing database queries, and ensuring site reliability and uptime.

The developer will also contribute to code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement of development processes and standards. Responsibilities Develop and maintain custom WordPress websites, themes, and plugins. Build and customize WooCommerce stores and integrations.

Work with APIs, custom post types, ACF, and Gutenberg blocks. Optimize website performance, security, and Core Web Vitals. Debug, troubleshoot, and maintain existing websites.

Collaborate with designers and frontend developers to deliver responsive websites. Qualifications Strong experience with WordPress development Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery Experience with WooCommerce and third-party API integrations Knowledge of ACF, Gutenberg, Elementor, and WordPress REST API Understanding of website optimisation, caching, and security best practices Familiarity with Git/GitHub and deployment workflows Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code Nice to Have Frontend development experience (React, Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap) Experience converting Figma designs into responsive websites Knowledge of Headless WordPress, Next.js, or Laravel Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, Cloudflare, and managed hosting platforms Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or ChatGPT Location Hauz Khas Village , Delhi Experience 2–5+ Years (WordPress development) Send your resume, portfolio, and GitHub profile to or apply directly via LinkedIn.
