Back End Developer

Position: Back-end Developer - Agentic AI, Automation & Integrations Location: Hyderabad (On-site) Experience: 2-4 years Must Have Skills: Backend Development (Node.js/Java/Python), Core JavaScript (Synchronous and Asynchronous Programming), Node.js Frameworks, API Development, Docker, Kubernetes, Process Automation, Workflow Orchestration, Microservices Architecture, Event-Driven Systems, SQL/NoSQL Databases, Azure Cloud Services, System Integration About the Role: We are seeking a strong Back-end Developer to build the execution and integration layer for agentic AI solutions and enterprise automation use cases across business functions. The role will focus on converting manual, repetitive, and clerical processes into scalable backend services and software workflows. The candidate will work on API-first systems, orchestration engines, enterprise integrations, and containerized services that connect AI capabilities with real business operations.

This is not a routine backend role; it requires building reliable systems that can support intelligent agents, process automation, and software-led transformation at scale using Azure-first architecture. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices that power agentic AI use cases and enterprise automation workflows across business functions. Build orchestration layers that allow AI agents to interact safely and reliably with internal systems, external APIs, enterprise applications, databases, and workflow tools.

Develop robust integrations with platforms such as SAP, Salesforce, NICE, document repositories, internal portals, and line-of-business applications to enable end-to-end process automation. Translate manual, clerical, and rule-based workflows into backend-driven software processes that can be triggered, monitored, audited, and continuously improved. Design containerized services using Docker and deploy, manage, and troubleshoot them in Kubernetes environments, preferably Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

Implement asynchronous and event-driven application patterns using core JavaScript and Node.js frameworks to handle concurrent tasks, queues, webhooks, background jobs, and non-blocking I/O efficiently. Build secure and reusable API layers for document processing, data retrieval, workflow execution, user actions, approvals, notifications, and agent-tool interaction. Collaborate closely with AI engineers, data engineers, business stakeholders, and product owners to convert business pain points into production-grade backend solutions.

Ensure system performance, scalability, observability, reliability, and fault tolerance through proper logging, monitoring, retry handling, versioning, and error management. Write clean, testable, maintainable code and participate in code reviews, deployment planning, release management, and technical documentation. Support the production rollout of intelligent automation solutions by troubleshooting defects, optimizing performance, and improving system stability over time.

What You Should Bring Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline. 2-4 years of hands-on experience in backend development, API development, and system integration in production environments. Strong programming expertise in Node.js, JavaScript, and at least one additional backend language such as Python or Java. Clear understanding of core JavaScript concepts including synchronous vs asynchronous execution, event loop behavior, promises, async/await, callbacks, concurrency handling, and error propagation.

Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for packaging, deployment, scaling, and lifecycle management of backend services. Good working knowledge of microservices architecture, distributed systems concepts, REST APIs, authentication patterns, and service-to-service communication. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, data modeling fundamentals, and efficient data access patterns for transactional and operational workloads.

Exposure to Azure services relevant to backend engineering, such as Azure Functions, App Services, AKS, Key Vault, Service Bus, API Management, and monitoring tools. Ability to understand process flows, break complex business operations into system components, and build backend services that are both practical and scalable. Strong analytical thinking, debugging capability, ownership mindset, and ability to work effectively in a fast-moving cross-functional environment.

Preferred Skills Experience working on AI/ML-enabled applications, agentic AI workflows, or backend systems that support LLM-based use cases. Exposure to message brokers and queue-based processing such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Service Bus. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and DevOps practices for cloud-native application delivery.

Experience integrating with ERP, CRM, BPM, or customer support platforms such as SAP, Salesforce, Oracle, ServiceNow, or NICE. Understanding of security, access control, auditability, and compliance requirements in enterprise-grade software environments. Experience building workflow engines, automation frameworks, or rule-based execution services will be an added advantage.
