Job Description AVP, Development Responsibilities Dealer Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with dealer principals, general managers, finance leaders, and other key dealership stakeholders. Serve as the primary point of escalation and strategic guidance for national and high-value dealer partners. Conduct regular dealership visits to assess performance, identify opportunities, and strengthen partnership engagement.
Process Implementation & SupportOversee the rollout and adoption of standardized processes, procedures, and best practices in collaboration with Account Executives. Provide coaching, training, and leadership to ensure Account Executives deliver consistent execution across all dealer partnerships. Monitor performance metrics and operational compliance to maintain high levels of effectiveness and efficiency.
Profitability & Performance GrowthDevelop strategies to increase penetration, product performance, and overall profitability for both the dealership and IA. Identify growth opportunities, including new product offerings and cross‑sell, training needs, and operational enhancements. Use data insights and performance analytics to guide decision‑making and recommend targeted action plans, with focus on increased product sales and reducing split‑shelfing of non‑iA products.
Cross‑Functional CollaborationPartner with internal teams including Operations, Product, Training, Marketing, and Leadership to support dealer initiatives and resolve issues. Communicate dealer needs and market trends to internal stakeholders to influence strategy and product innovation. Leadership & InfluenceServe as a subject matter expert and strategic advisor to Account Executives across the country.
Lead by example through high professionalism, strong communication, and a deep understanding of dealership operations. Help shape national development strategies and contribute to organizational growth initiatives. Qualifications Strategic planning and business analytics skills.
Executive presence and experience in facilitating business presentations. Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
At least 5 years of finance and insurance experience in automotive. Minimum 2 years outside business‑to‑business sales with proven track record of success.
