Job Description
Role Summary Design and deliver advanced audio systems and algorithms—spanning audio feature extraction, echo cancellation, noise suppression, and speech enhancement —using a combination of signal processing and machine learning for deployment on Qualcomm platforms. Key Responsibilities Develop end-to-end audio solutions including audio features, AEC, noise suppression, and speech enhancement algorithms Create, implement, and commercialize DSP- and ML-based audio algorithms Optimize fixed-point and floating-point implementations for embedded platforms Build, evaluate, quantize, and deploy efficient audio ML models across CPU, GPU, and NPU Validate audio subsystem performance for robustness, power, and stability Conduct acoustic measurements, demos, and system-level testing Collaborate with R&D, systems, and customer teams to support integration and commercialization Required Skills Strong foundation in audio signal processing and audio feature extraction Hands-on experience with Echo Cancellation, Noise Suppression, and Speech Enhancement Proficiency in Embedded C/C++, MATLAB, and Python Experience with embedded DSP platforms, real-time systems, and software optimization Knowledge of audio ML architectures (CNNs, RNNs, U-Nets, Transformers) Strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and problem-solving skills Qualifications Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Engineering or related field with relevant experience Familiarity with Qualcomm audio frameworks, SDKs, and tools is a plus
