We are seeking an experienced Associate Supplier Manager to join a high-impact team within a leading financial institution. This role is focused on managing a new portfolio of supplier-managed business, ensuring seamless contract execution, robust vendor negotiations, and strong governance. Location: Toronto, ON Work Model: Hybrid (1x per week in-office; additional days required during training) Duration: 24-Month Contract Compensation: T4-$50/hr-$53/hr | IC: $56/hr-$60/hr Key Responsibilities Vendor Governance & Execution: Oversee vendor negotiations and contract execution, ensuring alignment with service level agreements (SLAs), technical service agreements (TSAs), and business partner agreements (BPAs). Operational Management: Manage invoicing, accurate allocation processes, and budgetary reporting to track actuals versus forecasts. Relationship Management: Act as a central point of contact for internal stakeholders and external suppliers, building effective partnerships and streamlining operational outcomes.
Risk & Compliance: Implement process controls, documentation standards, and risk mitigation strategies in accordance with established risk frameworks. Reporting & Strategy: Design and deliver regular/ad-hoc dashboards and reports to provide program insights, assisting in the development of vendor management solutions. Problem Resolution: Provide specialized support to resolve complex vendor issues escalated by end-users.
Must-Have Qualifications Experience: 2โ4 years of relevant professional experience in vendor management, procurement, or contract administration. Technical Skills: Intermediate to Advanced Excel proficiency. Hands-on experience with Coupa is highly preferred.
Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., MS Copilot) for productivity and analysis. Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to influence stakeholders and present complex information clearly. Financial Services: Previous experience in the financial industry is strongly preferred; specific experience with BMO systems and processes is a major asset.
