Job Description
Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Finalisation Prepare and finalize financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards. Lead finalisation of books of accounts and ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closures. Prepare, review, and analyze monthly / quarterly / annual financial statements with detailed variance analysis for presentation to the Board and Management.
Prepare cash flow statements , monitor liquidity, and manage key financial ratios. Provide financial insights to support business growth strategies . Identify and recommend cost optimization and efficiency improvement initiatives.
Prepare detailed MIS and management reports and present insights to senior leadership. Budgeting & Forecasting Lead annual budget preparation in coordination with business and operational teams. Prepare rolling forecasts and quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) forecasts .
Monitor budget adherence and highlight deviations with corrective action plans . Balance Sheet & Reconciliations Perform regular balance sheet reconciliations , including detailed GL scrutiny . Handle Global vs Local reconciliations and ensure alignment with group reporting requirements.
Investigate and resolve unreconciled items on a timely basis. Inventory & Operations Finance Conduct hands-on inventory audits and oversee inventory valuation . Ensure alignment between physical stock and system records.
Support operational teams through finance-led process and control improvements . Procurement & Banking Coordination Possess strong working knowledge of procurement processes and procedures . Support financial evaluation of procurement decisions , including cost-benefit analysis.
Manage banking relationships , including: LC documentation FEMA compliance Coordination with banks and financial institutions Statutory, Taxation & Compliance Oversee Income Tax and GST periodical return filings. Handle and close default notices received from tax authorities. Manage statutory requirements including: GST appeals Personal hearings (PH) with GST officers Handle GST and TDS assessments, appeals, and compliances .
Ensure accurate and timely statutory and regulatory filings . Audit & Risk Management Assist and coordinate with internal and external auditors for timely audit closure. Provide audit schedules, data, and explanations as required.
Identify and manage financial, operational, and compliance risks . Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting standards. Education & Work Experience Requirements Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) / ACCA 4โ6 years of relevant experience (Ports & Logistics industry preferred) Strong exposure to financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, audits, and compliance
