Overview Eaton's Electrical sector is currently looking for an Area Sales Manager. The position can be located in Mississauga, Toronto or Montreal and offers benefits from day one as well as a company vehicle. The targeted total compensation range for this role is $132,000 - $165,000 inclusive of the bonus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Grow sales in an approximately $15M-20M territory Manage sales team of 3 sales agents along with a handful of direct accounts in the Canadian market Responsible for the team sales of Division products to original equipment manufacturers, contractors and through distributors to various end customers Maintain contact with management of key accounts located within the assigned territory Implement promotional programs with the following users and buying influences: Distributors, Original Equipment Manufacturers, contractors, industrial MRO users, and commercial users Develop and recommend sales plans, forecasts and objectives for assigned accounts in support of long and short-term sales objectives Collect and supply information to enable management to establish sales goals and objectives Assist buying accounts in a wide variety of customer service activities to ensure continuing satisfaction with the Division and its products Scope and Approach The division’s sales philosophy is to convince specifiers, users and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to utilize fuse technology in the design/use of their product and, further, to specify Bussmann fuses.

This pull‑through approach is accomplished through a system of authorized distributors and selected OEMs. Reporting to a Regional Sales Director, this position is responsible for translating this philosophy into actual sales in the assigned territory. The incumbent will initiate a variety of activities, including personal contact, group presentations, training, etc., with industry influences that will directly influence future sales.

The role involves frequent contact with electrical distributors, industrial plant and maintenance engineers, consulting engineers, electrical contractors, OEMs, and other key buying influences. Understanding Bussmann’s markets, customers, and application of over‑current protective devices is essential. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution Minimum seven (7) years electrical industry sales/marketing and/or engineering experience Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, marketing, or business Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French Manager of people experience 10+ years of experience in the electrical industry sales Additional Information Previous experience managing people and channels Superior knowledge of sales techniques, customers, customer relations, and employee development Strong knowledge of managing products, product applications, and distribution channels Significant sales presence such as that the candidate can clearly command in difficult sales situations Experience in growing sales and market share, channel development, and developing employee talent Equal Employment Opportunity We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for job applicants and employees.
