Job Description
Job Description As a Geospatial Intelligence Imagery Analyst in the Army National Guard, you will examine and interpret imagery to provide commanders with an accurate picture of the battlefield. Your analysis will support tactical and operational planning, requiring you to earn a secret clearance and work collaboratively with other intelligence professionals. Responsibilities Produce intelligence by analyzing images, fixed/moving targets, and geospatial data Identify military installations, facilities, weapon systems, military equipment, and defenses Distinguish changes to the battlefield based on imagery analysis Conduct Battle Damage Assessment Skills and Training You will acquire the following skills during training: Analyzing fixed/moving target indicators, geospatial data, and overhead/aerial images Planning overhead and aerial imagery collection Gathering information using sophisticated mapping tools and intelligence networks to create products for the commander Helpful skills include: Analytical thinking Clear communication, both written and spoken Interest in reading maps and charts Training Training consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training, 22 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT), and on-the-job instruction.
You will learn Geospatial Intelligence in classroom and field settings. Completion may lead to college credit.
